Dolomites on a mountainbike
7/9 - 17/9 201711 days
Level: AdvancedDolomites on a mountain bike is one long bike adventures for those who want to experience the Dolomites most beautiful places in a fascinating and effective way. Cycling along the serpentine roads over mountain passes is obviously strenuous, but the freedom to get on the bike outweigh the effort.
We fly to Venice. From there we will have a direct transfer to the foot of the Dolomites where we get our bikes and the adventure begins. The transfer takes about two hours.
The daily stages are between 30 and 80 kms and run past towns such as San Martino di Castrozza, Moena, Alleghe, Caprile, Canazei, Pieve, Corvara, Santa Cristina, San Vigilio, Auronzo di Cadore and Pieve di Livinallongo. We cross the mountain passes of over 2000 meters, such as Falzarego, Sella, Pordoi and Fedaia. We cycle past the fabulous lakes Mis, Fedaia, Alleghe and Braies.
We spend the night in hotels, guest houses and chalets in the mountain passes. We start by going early in the morning and enjoying good food and socializing in the afternoons and evenings.
Note that flexibility pervades this adventure. It is the group's desire and ability that determines how we continue day by day. Therefore, no hotel accommodation pre-booked, but included in the total price. The plans for this trip can thus be changed from day one, if necessary.
You can choose to bring your own bike or use the rental bike that you on arrival.
